The staff here is so great! They are thoughtful, patient and kind. I have a sensitive / nervous dog and they do a great job making him feel calm and going slow.

I take my now-17-1/2 year old Havanese, Joey, to Dr. Ellen Manneschmidt at Washington Ave because she is just fabulous. Wise, knowledgable and compassionate. Those qualities are even more important to me now as Joey is a senior-senior, with many old age problems. I feel grateful to know she is guiding us through this end-of-life time, which is so emotionally difficult for a Mommy.

Everyone I interacted with--reception, nurse, and vet--were kind and communicative throughout the entire time I was in the office. The nurse was very gentle with my cat, and her calm energy helped relax him in a stressful new environment. Dr. Robinson was similarly calming for Romeo, and even though she had to touch his injured leg to assess him, he clearly trusted her to do it. It's so clear to me that the medical staff love helping animals. The treatment options were clearly laid out for me, including costs and the possibility of a payment if necessary (it wasn't because of the options chosen, but I appreciated the fact that they made it known immediately so that cost wouldn't be prohibitive). Staff contacted me a few days later to check on my cat and see how he was doing, which I really appreciated. Even though WAAH isn't my usual vet and I used them on Saturday because my normal vet was closed, I highly highly recommend them.

Dr Melissa Robinson, who was the most recent provider at my 5 year old dog, Zorro’s appointment, as well all the other vets and supporting techs we have seen have all been super kind, super talented in handling Zorro and have gone out of their way at times to be helpful. I highly recommend this clinic!

We absolutely love us some doctor Cantor, Je is so amazing with our fur babies. He's kind and caring and will always give you real facts. He great with our animals and will take the time to explain and talk through the appointment. There was also an awesome tech that we worked with during our last visit don't remember her name. We love her too! Our appt was Friday 1/6. After a terrible experience we had last year we wasn't gonna come back to the hospital, but when we learned of Dr Cantors return, that all changed. The receptionist are also good too, especially Tyler and Shelia. We thank you all for everything!

The staff and providers were very friendly and accommodating. They were able to get me in within a day to schedule a checkup for my newly adopted cat. They had a deal for first time appointments that was great, but even the standard price was very affordable.

We recently got our kitten spayed and couldn’t be happier with the experience! The doctors talked us through what the procedure would be like and kept us updated throughout the process. They took great care of our baby and she healed wonderfully! Very friendly staff who are happy to answer questions. I feel so lucky to have Washington Ave Animal Hospital as our baby’s vet!

Was honestly shocked how pleasant this experience was it genuinely felt like they loved my cats gushing so much about how cute they are and handling them with so much care. they were so thoughtful making them as comfortable as possible my kitty is an anxious girl and likes to hide when scared and they covered her head with a towel for the exam and her heart rate instantly went down and she seemed much calmer. Little things like that are huge to me , thanks guys !!!!

so kind, gentle, patient. great hours. extremely thoughtful and understanding staff and doctors. 10/10. i have a senior dog and they were so sweet to her and i had a wonderful experience. responsible pricing and no pressuring for extra services.

Brought my senior dog last week , he was very sick and unfortunately there was not too much to do besides letting him go in peace and with dignity , I’m a physician and I have discussions about goals of care several times a week , however when it came to my senior dog I was a wreck .. the staff from the front desk to the Veterinarian were amazing, sensitive and very professional and caring. I hope you all take care of yourselves as I realize now the emotional burden that comes from living and performing Euthanasia on a regular basis . Forever grateful though I’m still dealing with the guilt that comes from that …. Alexander , Alejandro and Rocco ❤️🐾💔
